← The work

Toolboxes are data and analysis kits for practitioners, run in a browser or called by an AI agent.

GTM Toolbox — the most-developed toolbox besides People Analytics and Compensation, which keep their own cards (2026-09-29).

I built Toolboxes as data and analysis kits for practitioners doing a particular kind of work. The practical job comes first. A people analyst may need to prepare workforce data, choose a measurement or statistical method, and carry the result into a decision. A compensation professional may move from market pay to ranges, a compensation cycle, and pay-equity analysis. A local business or small team may need marketing and sales tools.

Those jobs share some underlying capabilities, but they do not use the same language or follow the same workflow. I wanted each field to have a workbench that makes the starting point and the next step clear. I also wanted one tool to work in the browser, through an AI agent, or with a person and agent together.

The direction is straightforward: keep the work focused on the practitioner's field while making the tools consistent wherever the same capability applies.

Who it is for

It is for people analysts, compensation professionals, and marketing or sales practitioners at local businesses and small teams who want a tool matched to the job in front of them. They may do the work directly in a browser, ask an AI agent to run a tool, or use both approaches together.

The problem

Broad software catalogs are often organized around methods rather than the work a practitioner is trying to finish. A people analyst may need to prepare data, choose a measurement or statistical tool, and turn the result into decision support. A compensation professional may need to connect market pay, ranges, pay equity, and a compensation cycle. When those steps sit among unrelated offers, it is harder to find a sensible starting point, understand what comes next, and keep a workflow focused on the field.

What I built

The Toolboxes family consists of data and analysis kits for practitioners, each intended for one kind of professional work. A person can run a tool in the browser, an AI agent can call it, or the two can work together. In People Analytics, that can mean preparing workforce data, applying measurement, statistics, prediction, or surveys, and carrying the result into decision support. In Compensation, it can mean moving from market pay and ranges through a compensation cycle or pay-equity analysis, with pay-gap decomposition, pay systems, CompData, and wage data feeds also in scope. GTM provides marketing and sales tools for local businesses and small teams, with a Pro plan at $49 a month. The family uses a shared foundation so a relevant capability can be maintained across toolboxes. Each toolbox is being shaped around the language, workflows, and offers of its field.

What is new in it

  • Each tool supports two ways of working: a practitioner can run it in the browser, an AI agent can call it, or they can use it together.
  • The model starts with a professional field rather than a technical method, so practitioners can begin with their own questions and follow a workflow in familiar language.
  • Related tools can form practical sequences: prepare data, run measurement or analysis, and carry the result into decision support; or connect market pay, ranges, a compensation cycle, and pay equity.
  • A shared foundation lets the same capability be maintained once and offered wherever it fits, giving people and agents consistent underlying tools across relevant fields.

Where it stands

The Toolboxes family is becoming a set of focused workbenches where each practitioner can find the tools for a field and use them directly, through an AI agent, or together. The People Analytics Toolbox, Compensation Toolbox, and GTM Toolbox are live proof of that direction. Toolboxes for coaches, independent consultants, and HR practitioners are in development.
